First Proto-Type.... According to the definitions about this type of binding, it said the binding technique was called "tacketing." This was described as being tied off either inside or outside the cover. I chose to tie off inside the cover. The definitions also said they could have used "stays" in the inner folds of the signatures/quires... I did not for this proto-type, but might for the actual prayer book, as I will probably be using Pergamenta for the pages. This proto-type was done for a class at Pennsic XXIX.
