The Finishing Touches....
(Be warned, the final scans are fairly large on the page, you will need to use your scroll bars a lot to see it all.)

The middle section almost completed... I hadn't done the decorative parts in the black border yet.
This is a digital photo of the section.

A scan of primarily the center section, but showing the relationships of the top and bottom sections as well.  Sorry for
the blurriness in the top section, I guess I didn't have it pressed down well enough against the scanner bed.

This is the top section with about 3/4 of the whitework completed. I thinly outlined the gold in a darkened
Cadmium Red Deep gouache.  Sadly, this photo just doesn't do justice to the final piece.  See below for direct scans of the piece.

This is the top section totally complete.  Even at this point, I can see some thin places in the gold.  But, at a distance of about
2 feet, they aren't so noticeable, which I am hoping is the closest anyone will get to it.  The ripples in the top section were in the
vellum, and I was never able to make them go away.  I think it was close to the neck portion of the sheep.  The rest of the
vellum stayed rather flat for me, once I taped it down.

This is the bottom section of the bottom section.  My scanner bed is only 8.5" wide (I have the ability to do 14" in length, though).
I thought it would be best here to just put this scan on here, rather than a bit of the top part of the section and a bit of the bottom part.
I think you get the idea here.  Sadly, I totally forgot to take a digital photo of the entire piece, so will have to scan the regular 35mm
photo I took of it when I finish using up all the film in the camera.
